12 Home Remedies to Reduce Belly Fat

Every one wishes to be fit and active. But with all that junk food that exists in the world, you can’t keep up with that perfect body. Our busy schedules don’t allow us to maintain the shape we want as we don’t get the desired time to exercise or workout.

When you don’t run or workout, the fat gets collected and stores in the middle of your belly. This happens because it is closer to the liver where it can be quickly converted to energy when required.

1. Honey:

Honey is one of the natural home remedies that will help you lose weight. Take a cup of lukewarm water; add a few drops of lemon and one tablespoon of honey to it. Stir well and drink this mix before breakfast in the morning.

2. Almonds:

Almonds are very rich in Vitamin E, fiber, protein, and magnesium also it contain a good amount of healthy fats — polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats which helps to decrease your Body Mass Index. So it’s good to always keep roasted almonds with you and enjoy them as a snack or in salads or other dishes. Or you can also soak 8 to 10 almonds overnight and eat them on an empty stomach

3. Beans:

Beans contain insulin protein which helps you by making your stomach smooth. Beans are known to break at a very slow pace, which keeps you full for a longer period of time. This spares you from yearning for food. Nearly all kinds of beans help you in loosing fat. They are also good for people suffering from coronary illness and diabetes.

4. Green Tea:

Thanks to its waist-trimming compounds called catechins, green tea is the perfect detox drink to lose stomach fat. Catechins speed up your metabolism and aid your liver in burning fat. Consider swapping out your regular coffee intake with green tea; studies have shown four to five cups of the tea is what’s needed to see the benefits. Also, beware of store-bought bottles of green tea that often contain extra sugar, which can override any health benefits. For maximum results, it’s best if you brew your own and ditch the sugar altogether, or replace it with a natural sweetener like stevia that won’t spike your blood sugar.

5. Fish Oil:

Fish oil is a fatty acid that is derived from the tissues of oily fish. It contains lots of omega-3 fatty acids, including epa and dha which are very important for your health.

Fish oil promotes healthy cholesterol levels, it boosts your mood and energy levels, and it helps to maintain strong bones. The acids in fish oil also help in breaking down fat while reducing fat storage around your waistline.

How To Take It:

It is recommended to take around 6 grams of fish oil a day, which is around 1 tablespoon of fish oil. Alternatively, you can eat fish such as salmon, mackerel, and tuna twice a week to get enough omega 3 fatty acids.

6. Ginger Tea:

You may know that ginger aids in digestion but what you didn’t know is that ginger is also a great thermogenic. It means, ginger increases the body temperature and thus makes weight loss an even faster process. The weight around your abdomen may be because of a lot of reasons such as stress, over-eating or hormonal disturbances. Ginger can fight against all these causes of weight gain. Add a few slices of ginger to a cup of water and let it boil for a few minutes. Let it cool and then add some honey and lemon juice to it before drinking.

7. Mint Leaves:

Add 1 tablespoon honey, a pinch of pepper, and some crushed mint leaves to a cup of hot water. Let it to steep for 5 minutes. Strain and drink the liquid to get a flat tummy. Mint soothes the abdomen while honey and pepper dissolves the fat and boosts the metabolism.

8. Curry Leaves:

Curry leaves has very good natural properties which helps to curbs fat and improve digestion. Take some had full of fresh curry leaves and boil it with 500 ml of water. Continue boil it so that the water reduces to half. Strain it and sip this hot decoction every day early in the morning in empty stomach instead of having coffee or tea.

I personally follow this remedy to maintain flat belly. So you can follow it too as it’s very easy to cut down you belly fat.

9. Garlic:

If you can chew (not swallow) two to four small garlic cloves in the morning, it is known to reduce belly fat. A research done in mice found that garlic can reduce the fat stores and accelerate fat burn. It is recommended to have lime water immediately after having garlic.

10. Cinnamon :

Cinnamon is known to be a great fat burner. Take 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon powder and mix it in warm water. You can add 1 tablespoon of honey to enhance the taste after straining the cinnamon water. Drink this cinnamon water daily before breakfast and before going to bed

11. Water:

Drinking plenty of water also helps in reducing weight. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This will not only flush the fat, but also make your skin shiny and glowy. Your hair will become healthy, and the whole body will become radiant.

12. Exercise:

Do workouts that boost up metabolism. Include jogging, brisk walking, cycling and swimming in you exercise regime. However, all this goes in vain, if you don’t perform it at least five times a week rigorously. Walking should not be confused with evening strolls, latter is not an exercise. Do exercises that target the tightening of your abdomen, as spot reduction is tougher that whole body weight loss.
